Cost & Payments

Your spot on this trip will be secured when we receive a deposit of $500.  Upon receipt, the deposit paid is nonrefundable and non-transferable.

Fifty percent of the remaining balance is due 120 days prior to the departure date.

The final balance is due 60 days prior to the departure date.

We've set up 4 equal payments that are automatically scheduled for withdrawal on March 25, May 25, July 25, and Sept 25 to help you spread out your payments and meet the deadlines. If you need a different payment plan, please let us know.


Cancellation and Refunds

In the event that you need to cancel your trip, these fees will be applied:

• Between Now-61 days before your arrival date, GLT retains only nonrefundable deposit 

• Between 60 and 46 days before your arrival date, GLT retains 50% of the entire tour price  

• Between 45 and 31 days before your arrival date, GLT retains 75% of the entire tour price 

• Between 30 days and duration of trip, GLT retains 100% of the entire tour price 

Recommended Flights

Arrival:

Arrive to Cairo (CAI) anytime on the first day. You'll be met by the agent and transferred to your hotel to settle in. If you arrive early and want help with hotels or extra activities, let us know!


Departure:
Depart from Cairo (CAI) after 12pm so you can have time to enjoy breakfast, transfer to the airport and depart.

Cairo Arrival

As soon as you get off the plane, you will see our airport agent holding a sign with your name on it. They will help you get your Egyptian visa, lead you through VIP passport control, through baggage claim, and then escort you to your hotel!

Day 2

The Great Pyramids Of Giza & New Discoveries

We’ll start the day with a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza, with the option to enter the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Enjoy a short camel ride with photo opportunities, then visit the Sphinx.

Lunch will be served at the only restaurant inside the pyramid complex, offering incredible views.

Afterward, we’ll visit the Papyrus Institute to learn how papyrus is made, followed by an optional quad bike ride around the pyramids.

You’ll have the evening free for dinner on your own.

Day 3

Explore the Grand Egyptian Museum: A Day of Discovery

Today we will head out to explore the magnificent new Grand Egyptian Museum.

We’ll begin by visiting the museum’s highlights, including the Solar Boat of King Cheops, the full collection of King Tut’s Treasury—with thousands of pieces on display for the first time—and the twelve galleries that walk us through Egypt’s incredible history.

After our visit, we’ll enjoy lunch at an authentic local restaurant, tasting traditional Egyptian flavors.

We will then stop by a Gold & Silver store before returning.


In the evening, you may choose to join an optional Nile Dinner Cruise for a beautiful night on the water.

Day 4

Sakkara & Citadel Heritage Day

Today we will begin by meeting in the lobby by the front desk before heading out to explore Sakkara, one of Egypt’s most historic archaeological sites.

We will then enjoy lunch at an authentic village restaurant, savoring traditional Egyptian flavors in a relaxed, open-air setting.

After lunch, we’ll stop at a local carpet school to see the impressive craftsmanship behind Egypt’s handwoven carpets. We will continue to the Citadel of Saladin to visit the magnificent Mosque of Mohamed Ali, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture with sweeping views over Cairo.

To wrap up the day, we’ll visit a shop offering high-quality Egyptian cotton products before returning.

Day 5

Echoes of Cairo: From Mummies to the Nile

Our day starts with a visit to the Museum of the Royal Golden Mummies, followed by stops at two architectural masterpieces: the Ibn Tulun Mosque and the Sultan Hassan Mosque, both showcasing the beauty of Cairo’s Islamic heritage.

After lunch, we'll head to a traditional perfumery, where we’ll learn about Egypt’s famous fragrance oils.

In the afternoon, we’ll relax with a peaceful felucca sailboat ride on the Nile, taking in the views and gentle breeze.


We will then head to the Souk of Khan El Khalili, where you can shop and learn about traditional Egyptian goods in this bustling area of the city. Its a great place to get souvenirs to bring back with you!


After shopping til you drop, we will head to our farewell dinner, to talk all about the trip and enjoy a meal together one last time!

Day 6

Back to Reality

After a thrilling trip in Cairo and Giza, it is time to head home.


But don't worry- you'll have your memories and new friends to last until the next trip!


If you have a later flight or are staying extra days, there are options for extra tours available: 

- Full day tour to Alexandria

- Half day tour to the pyramids (re-visit if you'd like more time)
