Girls LOVE Travel is thrilled to work with GLTer-owned Heart of Travel to bring you an incredible adventure through Mexico City for a long weekend getaway!

Eat amazing food, learn the history, and take in the beauty on this 4 day/3 night tour in this enchanting up-and-coming destination!

We are offering two departure dates for this trip: 

July 28-31, 2023 (co-ed)

Sept 1-4, 2023 (co-ed)

As much as we want for this trip to go exactly as planned, we can not plan for complications that arise especially due to inclement weather or closures due to extenuating circumstances like Covid-19.  

While we hope that our trip attendees are vaccinated against COVID-19, we will not be requiring proof of vaccination to attend the trip. To ensure the safety of all GLTers on the trip, everyone will need to provide a negative covid test prior to the trip.  Home tests are accepted. You can email it to glttrips.covid@gmail.com. 

Girls LOVE Travel will not be giving any refunds for those who test positive and are not able to join the trip. We highly encourage travel insurance to cover instances like this. 

We will be following all COVID protocols to ensure the safety of everyone on the trip.

Additionally, the tour is listed as a package, and no price adjustments will be given if someone wants to "opt-out" of an included activity. 

Your spot will be secured when we receive a deposit of $300.  Upon receipt, the deposit paid is nonrefundable and non-transferable.

Below are the payment schedules: 

The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure

In the event that you need to cancel your trip, these fees will be applied:  

• Between Now - 60 days before departure - GLT retains only nonrefundable deposit
• Between 46 - 59 days before departure - GLT retains 50% of the tour price

• Between 31 - 45 days before departure - GLT retains 75% of the tour price

• Less than 30 days before departure - GLT retains 100% of the entire tour price 

ADD ONS - you can choose to add these up until 30 days before the trip.

Single room for the duration of the trip is an extra cost of $250.
-- This can not be canceled or refunded closer than 45 days prior to your trip.  

Arrival: 

We recommend arriving on the first day around 1:00 pm to MEX (Mexico City). This leaves time to arrive, transfer to the hotel and check in before the welcome dinner that evening.

Departure: 

We recommend departing after 12:00 pm from MEX (Mexico City) to allow time to have breakfast, and transfer to the airport. 

Arrive in Mexico City and be transferred to the trip hotel via shuttle service. Once at your hotel, you can settle in and get ready for a fun trip!

Enjoy a welcome dinner with the group and kick off the trip in style! We will enjoy trendy Mexican fusion cuisine, a great introduction to Mexico City! 

After dinner, you have the option to have drinks and a night out at a nightlife hot spot, or turn in early and catch some sleep, its your call.

After breakfast, we set off to explore this magnificent city! 

We will start our day visiting the museum of Frida Kahlo, one of Mexico's most famous artists. Stroll to admire the artwork, learn the history, and snap photos of the bright blue walls of the "Casa Azul"- which is the museum's nickname. 

After the tour, we will wander through the Coyoacán market, which is an iconic, 2-story marketplace full of ceramics and other artisan goods!

We will make our way to the canals to board the Xochimilco boats, and enjoy the mariachis, marimbas, lunch and drinks! Get your camera ready!

In the evening, we will have a cooking class to learn how to make mole, which is a traditional sauce used in Mexican cuisine. And, the best part, we get to eat our creations when we're done!

After breakfast, we'll take a bike ride down the beautiful avenue La Reforma, and end with a visit to Castillo Chapultepec and it's gorgeous grounds. There will be options to visit the museums in the area as well! 

After wandering the Castillo, we will sit down for a lovely lunch before having some free time to explore, rest, or buy souvenirs.

We will have a farewell dinner overlooking the famous Zócalo, which is the main square of Mexico City.

After dinner, we will head to the Palacio de Bellas Artes for the Ballet Folklório, which tells the story of Mexico's traditions and folklore. Be ready to be wowed by the talent and beauty of this show and its prestigious venue.

It's time to head home, with all your memories to take back with you!
