Come celebrate PRIDE in the Netherlands with GLT, the best way we know how! 🏳️‍🌈

Girls LOVE Travel is thrilled to be working with La Karavana.  They are a group of travel-loving women from the Netherlands who during the pandemic came up with the idea to turn a double decker bus into an exploring and driving around hostel!

We will spend 3 nights on the Hostelbus and 3 nights in a hostel in Amsterdam (2x room) - the perfect way to celebrate pride together!

With the close nature of this trip- we want to ensure we are as safe as possible.  Since this trip involves close quarters and shared common areas, a vaccination  and a negative covid test taken within 72 hours before the event is required for all attendees. Home tests are allowed if it is only for GLT trip regulations.

**Please note- vaccination validity for the Netherlands ends 270 after your last dose. However, a booster will extend your vaccination validity indefinitely. So if you received your last dose 270+ days before August 2, you will need a booster to enter.  Please see the current entry restrictions for the Netherlands here. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are abiding by all guidelines set by the Netherlands for entry into the country.  Entry requirements are subject to change. 

By signing up for this trip, you understand that Girls LOVE Travel and La Karavana will not be responsible for any issues that may arise from covid or from injury that may occur on the trip.

Negative Covid Test will need to be shown via email prior to the trip.  No entry or refunds will be given if you arrive without a negative covid test, or if you test positive and are unable to join us on the trip. 

If the trip is unable to happen due to government restrictions, we will provide refunds for the trip. GLT is not responsible for any flights or additional costs due to the cancellation and highly recommends that everyone on all trips has travel insurance.

Girls LOVE Travel and La Karavana are not responsible for your health or personal property on this trip, and is not responsible if a member gets hurt or injured.

Please note that the deposit of $400 to hold your spot is nonrefundable.   

If you need to cancel, here are the dates to keep in mind for the cancellation policy:   

- Full payment (or agreed payment plan) is due 60 days before the trip - June 3

* Now until 60 days from the trip date (June 3) - any amount paid after the nonrefundable $400 deposit will be refunded.   

* 59-31 days or less before the trip date (June 4-July 2) - 50% of the package price ($750) will be held by GLT.

* 30 days or less before the trip date (On or after July 3) - full amount is due, and no refunds will be possible.  

If a payment plan is set up, that does not bypass the above cancelation policy.  If an attendee sets up a payment plan, but later cancels, the dates above regarding the amount held by GLT will stand even if that amount has not been paid in full by those date thresholds. 

For this trip- travel insurance is required for all participants that covers the following: 

- Cancellation

- Luggage Loss

- Healthcare Costs

- Extreme sports (only mandatory if taking part in extreme activities)

Girls LOVE Travel recommends Trawick International for your trip needs. If you are doing extreme sports (i.e. skydiving) we recommend the Safetreker Sport Package.

ARRIVAL:

Please schedule your flights to arrive no later than 8:30 AM on August 2.  
We will be meeting at the airport at 10:00 AM to board the bus, and you will need time to go through customs, grab luggage, and get to the meeting point by 10:00 AM. 

If you arrive before August 2, let our team know and we can have you meet us at the airport, or at the pickup location.  If you need to arrive after this time on August 2 - the cost of the trip will not be adjusted but let us know and we can help you meet up with the group. 

DEPARTURE: 

Our last day is low key, so you can leave anytime you need to. If you'd like to enjoy breakfast at the hostel before taking off, we suggest having your flight AFTER 12:00 PM (Noon) on August 8 so you can have breakfast and have enough time to get to the airport and catch your flight.  You can also leave late at night on the 7th if flight costs are better.  You will just miss breakfast, and the cost of the trip will not be adjusted.

Note that it usually takes about an hour to get from city central to the airport.  

Who's ready for the best Pride ever?! 🏳️‍🌈

Pickup will be at 10:00 am at AMS airport on the La Karavana hostelbus. 

We will drive to Zandvoort, where will have lunch and welcome drinks to kick off the celebrations. From there, we will celebrate Pride on the beach in Zandvoort. Definitely an amazing start to our week together!

We will stay the night in Zandvoort in the Hostelbus.

We'll start the day with breakfast on the hostelbus, then head out to Noordwijk out on the coast!

The group will spend the afternoon eating lunch, relaxing at the beach, and even taking a bike ride around the dunes if you so choose (own cost)- it's a chill day, Dutch style!

We will finish with dinner on the bus and stay over in Noordwijkhout or Sandra.

We'll start the day with breakfast before heading out to Oudekerk aan de Amstel/Kaag area. 

We'll grab lunch on the bus and then take a rowing boat/kayak/motorbat tour. We'll finish the day with dinner at the bus and stay over one more night before heading to Amsterdam in the morning.

After starting our day with breakfast, we will make our way back to Amsterdam, where the Pride celebrations await us!

We will check into our hostel and jump into the street parties all over Amsterdam as the festival begins. Our group will take an optional stop at the world famous Amsterdam sex museum before grabbing dinner and enjoying the festivities!

The day you've all been waiting for- the official Pride canal parade!

We will start our morning with breakfast at the hostel before heading to the canals and enjoying all that Amsterdam Pride has to offer! 

Lunch and dinner are on your own as you experience the festival as you'd like!

We will start the day with breakfast or choose to sleep in!  The morning is meant for recovery and free time before we meet up in the afternoon for our group canal boat ride to enjoy each other's company and explore Amsterdam from the water.

This is our last evening and we will have an optional farewell meal together - otherwise we will all continue to enjoy the crowds and merriment of Amsterdam Pride!!  Take it all in!  Enjoy!  It is your last night in Amsterdam!
